Coming Up

The council will vote February 17th on authorizing submission of a grant application to the fiscal year 2026 BUILD grant program for Highway 67 I-57 project phase 3A. MDOT will co-sponsor the application and provide matching funds, requiring no city funds. The estimated project cost is $45 million.
The BUILD grant application is due February 24th and will cover 2.7 miles on Highway 67 south of County Road 352.

The city delivered a check from opioid settlement funds to Savage to Saints Ministry for chairs for their recovery center. City Manager Phelps and staff had a Zoom meeting with the University of Illinois extension office about a $75,000 grant opportunity with no city match required.
